Circle October 09c : Rachel, sF, 2000 - 2200 hrs. VN and Sony dictaphones ( clips are all from the VN recorder ).

The circle opened in complete darkness, very little was felt or seen in this period apart from a mist on Rachel's side of the closed curtains. The recording had few voices in the blackout as is now usual.

If there was one outstanding feature of this sitting it was the all pervasive coldness in the room. Both sF and Rachel were at times freezing cold from head to toe. Despite being well dressed, the cutting chill and icy breezes continued for most of the sitting and left both members shivering.

When the light was put on sF and Rachel soon began to feel strong surges of energy. These sensations were common a year or so ago, but petered out when the occurrence of materialisations slowed. After a particularly strong pulse of energy, sF reported a viscous white cloud over Rachel's head. This did not take shape but was visible for approximately 5 seconds before disappearing.

Towards the end of the sitting, the air got even colder behind the curtain, Rachel found it uncomfortable to breath normally and began to tense her muscles. sF felt a dramatic difference to the temperature her side of the divide. It is a shame we do not have a thermal camera, it would have been interesting to see just how cold it really was.
