Experimental Open Circle May-09b : Rachel, ms2, sG, r2 and r3, main seance 1300hrs - 1445hrs VN and LS dictaphones. Clips are all from the VN recorder.
The day began with an practical demonstration and explanation of how recordings are made, uploaded and reviewed .There was an opportunity for visiting researchers to see the room before set up and familiarise themselves with the room. Together the room was prepared before doing a brief test of the equipment brought by the visitors and the circle.
Even in the test recording (TR)where there was silence, voices can be heard. Together as a group, we listened to the unfamiliar sounds and in many cases, were unable to account for the messages heard. In the main seance (MS), there was very little physical activity apart from the light being turned up/down to request. Even this was markedly less than usual. There were a few taps in response to questions but not enough to obtain messages.
r2 brought a reel to reel recorder into the main seance, this required electricity and may explain why there was so little physical activity.
After r2 and sG had departed, a further seance was held. The recording obtained on this occasion was excellent and contained many personal comments for r3. They were unusual in their clarity and quantity. r3 and ms2 both reported a period of transfigurations, but the light was not sufficient to make detailed reports of the features.
