Circle Jul 09 b: Rachel, sF and r2. 2000hrs - 2210hrs, VN dictaphone - the LS dictaphone was used but was found to be turned off seconds after being switched on.
This was the second time r2 had sat in the circle. The first sitting had been on the Open Circle sitting, May 09b. This was a more relaxed sitting as only digital dictaphones were permitted and the only outcome hoped for, was for parallel messages on the recordings.
Very little physical activity took place. Rachel reported many noises and lights behind the curtain that could not be corroborated in front. There were however, numerous noises that everybody heard at the same time, but it could not be agreed as to their location or interpretation.
There were changes made to the level of lighting by our communicators, but these were minimal and not of the usual amplitude. Only when sF manually turned down the light, did a communicator try to transfigure. Unfortunately the level was too dim for honest reporting of phenomena.
Rachel did receive direction from Geley, but this was infrequent and not explicit as to aid phenomena. His voice can be heard briefly on clip number 6.
Despite being very lucky to receive the phenomena witnessed, the sitting was felt to be slightly frustrating. In previous sittings communicators have been much more forthcoming with comments and pheomena. We have been told to exercise patience when sitting.

In common with the previous sitting, only a couple of our regular communicators could be heard on the recording. Again, this could be because it was not our regular night to sit; we had arranged this evening's sitting for r2.
r2 recorded the sitting on his digital dictaphone and analysed the sitting independently. He was able to report two sounds heard at the same time as those captured by Rachel. Their similarity is yet to be compared.
1. sF enouraging activity: bang on the radiator... - the belt'll happen
2. Rachel: come and pull the fabric on the back of the chairs - yeah, I am
3. I saw that light then [not Jack] - sF: so what's that Jack, its going to go down...
4. r2 discussing research: but certainly there has been - did you ( old man ) - things which...
5. r2 : views about the implications of all this and what the err - not now - what the root cause...
6. Rachel :...and let other people know about what happens in here - I can tell them this
7. Noise heard by sF and Rachel - noise - Rachel: ...another cold breeze accross my left hand
8. Martin - r2: that's very... Rachel: ...ooh, that was a really loud whistle in my left ear
