Circle Opportunities

Ideally we would like to be able to offer a place to any visitor without vetting, but sadly some individuals behaviour in our seance room have forced us to be very careful who we admit.

Our circle is an experimental circle and there may be long periods of apparent inactivity, please bear in mind that you may not experience any physical phenomena over the full period of the sitting. We would kindly ask all guests to be aware of our Sitting Etiquette. Our Physical Seance Log will give you an appreciation for our methodology and understanding. Anyone disregarding the etiquette and principles we work by, will be asked to leave immediately and will not be permitted to return.

Visitors : We welcome all those genuinely interested, experienced and inexperienced alike. We would ask that you respect our way of working and arrive with an open mind and be ready to play an active part in the circle. An interview may be required before attending for all guests as we do not grant you a place on request alone. The circle does not admit minors under the age of 18.

Researchers : You must be either actively engaged in psychical research on behalf of a recognised society or be studying at a UK university in a scientific discipline. The circle is open to scrutiny and welcomes informed debate. All researchers are required to be interviewed before attending a sitting. Retired technical or professional persons, with a strong interest in mediumship would be especially welcome.

When we sit : The circle meets monthly on a Wednesday evening starting at 8pm and ending at approximately 10pm. You will be expected to arrive at least half an hour before we begin, latecomers for whatever reason will not be admitted. Please note that we are in a rural area not served by public transport.

A maximum of two guests are permitted per month, should you wish to attend this may mean you will have a lengthy wait before being offered a place. Would you like to join us as a regular sitter?

If you live in Gloucestershire or the surrounding area, have your own transport and are interested in sitting, we would like to hear from you. No circle experience is required, but you should be aware that this is not an open development circle and dedication will be expected. All applicants will be asked to attend an informal discussion with members of the circle. If after the meeting you and the circle members are happy to go ahead, you will be offered a provisional place for a period of three months.
