Circle Experiences

From formation until a considerable time late, the circle's sitting format continually evolved with every new member. It was not until October 2007, that a pattern was recognised and the circle became more stable. Despite most of the time having only two members, occasionally three, the work progressed rapidly. When recordings began by chance in 2008, the circle took another new turn.

At one end a cabinet has been made by suspending black curtains from the ceiling, across a corner of the room. Mentally, Rachel is guided to begin each sitting in the dark or red light and with drawn or open curtains. If we have a new sitter, visitor or researcher, there is at least a short period of darkness whilst the energy balances for work to begin in red light, this period can be anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour. Rachel is fully conscious throughout all seances, only twice was full control used whilst producing phenomena. Our communicators will vary the light conditions at any point in the seance to suit the specific phenomena being worked upon.

We understand that the following experiences sound impossible and unreal, often we have questioned our judgment. We would not expect you the reader to believe us, until you have witnessed the same phenomena you will never fully believe and even then you will question your eyes and mind.

Occasionally white flashes of light can be seen by Rachel and the sitters on both sides of the curtains. When this is seen early in a seance, it usually bodes well for materialisation later on in the sitting. Small lights of any size and colour may be seen briefly or darting across the room. The brightness varies, most last only a few seconds.

For materialisation the red light is dimmed by a communicator so that we may only see each other in silhouette. As a materialisation builds, it is often described as being luminescent and glowing white, sometimes as white patches on Rachel's face. The colour is striking when compared with the normal pink flesh tones in red light. Facial features of materialisations are fresh and are seen to have very few wrinkles. Not all materialisations build perfectly, on heads features can be missing or misplaced on the face. In darkness sitters have reported white heads of various sizes towards the curtains, at different heights. These may resemble a mask, being more two dimensional than a normal face. It is usual that Rachel will experience strong pain immediately before and during a materialisation. Materialisations move independently from Rachel under red light when formed.

Very occasionally, black or white hands can been seen. These are described as being solid like a glove, they have been seen on Rachel and high on the walls behind the curtain ( multiple pairs ).

If conditions are favorable, transfigurations can be seen in very bright red light. Transfigurations are easily distinguishable from materialisations as their skin tone is more like ours under red light. Manifestations can be either very fleeting or static, regular communicators are able to build more solidly and stay visible for longer periods.

Since autumn 2008, all seances are recorded on two dictaphones, the recordings often contain voices of those communicating physically or passing on advice or direction to the circle. The voices often confirm sounds and bangs heard in the seance room, reported at the time. It is not uncommon for a noise to be heard in circle that is not found to be on the recording, even loud crashes have been absent from the most sensitive recorder.
