The evening began with new phenomena, something that had not been reported before. Just after the opening prayer, sF described an area of visual disturbance in front of the semi-drawn curtains. It appeared to sF as being similar to a heat haze but dense enough to distort Rachel sitting behind it. It measured approximately 2.5 feet across and was at head height. sF did not at any time look to the floor, so we are unsure of how far the field stretched. From Rachel's perspective there was some distortion and in addition there were very fleeting glimpses of something that looked like the outline of a head and shoulder. This outline was a pale pink, but disappeared in an instant. Overall the energy field was visible for nearly 15 minutes before leaving. It did not return. When it was present, other areas of the room could be seen in sharp contrast, so it was unlikely to be eye strain.This phenomena was closely followed by a white wisp of curling smoke, that too was only seen once.

Rachel was directed to sit in a particular way by a communicator. Shortly after, another communicator turned down the light and sF was seen to jump in her chair as if mildly startled. She described a long white strip, that phased into view very quickly, between the curtains at floor level. It measured approximately 5 inches in height and 3 feet in length. It faded, then became visible again and disappeared.

There was a very short period of transfiguration, the atmosphere of the room was markedly different and did not appear to be able to support an extended demonstration.
