Avebury Stone Circle, Wiltshire. 28th to 29th June 2008 : Rachel and ms2, 2350 - 0110hrs, no background noise, warm dry night

Rachel and ms2 arrived at the circle at 2230hrs before attempting to record, a circuit was made of the stones. Unfortunately being a Saturday night, the road was busy and a noisy party was being held on one side of the village. This made finding a good recording spot more difficult.

The northern side of the circle was chosen, to the rear of the pub as this was as quiet as was possible. This was the first attempted outdoor recording. The recordings are not as clear as in our circle, but they are worth considering. The dictaphone was laid on a stone whilst recording, ms2 and Rachel being approximately two feet away.

1. Rachel says "there's an energy from the stones, not sure what, but..." then - you're not sure !

2. A friendly gentleman was asked to leave his name - Barney

3. An exclamation just after Rachel jumps at a noise - me oh my

4. When asked why they had been asked to go to the circle - just because

5. Not in response to any remark made by Rachel or ms2 - that wasn't the shed ?
