Woodchester Mansion, Gloucestershire. 6th July 2008 : Rachel and ms2

The acoustics at Woodchester proved to be a challenging recording environment. As the building is bare and there no soft furnishings to absorb sound, any noise amplifies and carries further than in a domestic setting. There were people walking into other rooms whilst we recorded, however at times it is very hard to hear Rachel and ms2 let alone those in distant locations. The quality of the voices are in places clearer than the experimenters and sound nearer to the microphone, which was stationary when recording these examples. Recordings were done with swn, others nbn.

1. Try reducing the speed by 20 %, recorded in the cellar - war on at home

2. The sound is contorted but understandable, slightly too fast - someone walking in the corridor

3. A ladies voice recorded in the middle left cellar room - you've come back

4. A mans voice recorded in the cellar - I should be outside

5. ms2 asks is that Mary or Maureen ? ( her nickname for the two airmen Rachel sensed ) - Maureen

6. A ladies voice in the cellar - grounds for all of us

7. A negative energy encountered in the corridor from the chapel to kitchen area - bast**ds
